We create job opportunities in sm towns and teach our artisan communities to optimize their craft. Meet Your Artisans

Our artisan discovery process is unique in that we seek to find talent in unexpected places. We take pride in the time we spend getting to know our artisans. We look for talented individuals who pour heart into their designs and final products, and who seek to help their communities by training local neighbors who are unemployed.

Background

As a young boy from a village in Guerrero, he was taught the technique of macrame by his father. As he never had the opportunity to go to University, he has relied on his ability to make beautiful crafted pieces in order for him and his family to make a living.

The Village

Unfortunately, Saul's village has 11,000 people with no running water. Weekly, tanks of water are brought to the village and rationed out for the families to use sparingly.

Role Model

Saul takes great pride in his work ethic and aims at being a role model to the people in his town not only by providing work but by showing them that hard work gives you a purpose and a better life. His Mexican roots, his family and his craft are what identifies him. A true family man, a righteous artist, this is Saul.

The Saul Collection was born in Guerrero. , along with Saul, have employed over 16 people from Saul’s village. Together, we hold workshops where we teach Saul’s craft to unemployed locals in his village, and help them learn a profitable skill. The men routinely find work outside of the village during the week and return on the weekends, leaving the women to care for things at home. Therefore the majority of people working with us are women, giving them the chance to have a profession and help provide for their families. Every product this incredible team makes is made of 100% eco cotton, hard work, and lots and lots of love.
